And The Emmy Goes To…
With the Emmy nominations just out, we thought it would be fun to make our Emmy predictions and give a nod to who we wish would win the coveted golden statue.
Best Comedy Series: Modern Family is probably going to win again this year. They’ve won the award multiple times now and the show shows no signs of slowing down. We’re huge fans of the comedy show and can’t wait to see them take home the award again this year.
Best Comedy Actress: Julia Louis-Dreyfus seems to be the favorite among experts, but for us, there will always be a special place in our hearts for Tina Fey.
Best Comedy Actor: For us this is a toss up, Alec Baldwin is extremely funny as is Jack Donahue in 30 Rock, but we hope that Jim Parson gets the Emmy. It takes a lot of work to make a nit picky physicist seem likable and funny, but he can do it with style.
Best Supporting Actress in Comedy: Also known as the battle of the Modern Family divas. We’re in Sofia Vergara’s corner all the way!
Best Supporting Actor in Comedy: Take your pick! All these guys are great at what they do and complete scene stealers. We’re hoping Ed ONeil gets the Emmy, we’ve loved him since “Married with Children”.
Best Guest Comedy Actress: Your fame in Hollywood is cemented when you’re asked to host on SNL and we think it’s time Melissa McCarthy got her due.
Best Guest Comedy Actor: Keeping with the SNL theme, it seems only right that Justin Timberlake get the Emmy for his comedy skills; acting, comedian, singer, this guy is the whole package!
Best Drama Series: We feel like Breaking Bad will take this one, as it is on its last season and will probably go out with a bang, but you never know, Game of Thrones has gained so much popularity, it might just steal the night and the Emmy.
Best Drama Actress: We’re huge fans of ABC’s new show Scandal and Kerry Washington. There are probably girls everywhere wishing they could be Olivia Pope, and we don’t blame them, she’s pretty awesome!
Best Drama Actor: We’re with the experts on this one, Bryan Cranston should win the Emmy this year, hands down.
Best Supporting Actress in a Drama: We will always love Maggie Smith as Lady Grantham and no one else will do. She has the best one liners in all of TV!
Best Supporting Actor in a Drama: It looks like Aaron Paul will probably win this year, but we’re still pulling for Peter Dinklage as our favorite Lannister.
Best Guest Actress in a Drama: As the only women on TV that can give Maggie Smith a run for her money, it has to be Dianna Rigg.
Best Guest Actor in a Drama: Any time Michael Jay Fox is on TV is a good time, nuff said.
Best Movie/ Miniseries: Behind the Candelabra seems to be the favorite for this category and we totally agree!
Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries: We’re pulling of Helen Mirren for this one, she’s great at anything she does.
Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries: Michael Douglass was great in Behind the Candelabra, of course he should win!
Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries: For us it’s really a toss up, all the ladies are great!
Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries: Scott Baluka, we want you!
Best Reality Competition Series: It has to be The Voice, you can’t say no to Shakira.
Best Reality Host: We know that Ryan Seacrest can do just about anything, but we love Tom Bergeron.
Best Variety Series: Jimmy Fallon, hands down. Any shows that does an anthology of the best rap songs of in American history has to win.
Those are our predictions/wish list of winners, who do you want to win?
